2007 Masterpieces in Silver - Australian Art of the 20th Century

The Masterpieces in Silver series was produced from 1988 to 2011 by the Royal Australian Mint. This long running coin series was dedicated to Australian themes and events that have shaped Australia as a nation - Australian Art of the 20th Century

The 2007 Masterpieces in Silver series features reproductions of work from four of Australias most outstanding artists:

• Grace Cossington Smith: Curve of the Bridge (1928-1929)
• William Dobell: Margaret Olley (1948)
• Margaret Preston: Implement Blue (1927)
• Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri: Yuelamu Honey Ant Dreaming (1980) in full colour

Produced in 99.9% silver, each $5 coin has been masterfully created to represent the artwork.

The actual mintage of this set was 3,975 and comes with a numbered certificate
