Description
The 2013 Gilded Edition of the popular Australian Koala Silver Coin Series depicts an appealing new design highlighted in 24-carat gold.
The koala is an internationally recognised symbol of Australia. An arboreal marsupial, it spends most of its time in trees. Inactive during the day, it feeds on the foliage of the eucalypt at night. The koala is one of the few mammals, other than primates, that has fingerprints very similar to that of a human.
The reverse design depicts an adult koala gilded in 24-carat gold, sitting in the fork of a eucalyptus tree.
The coin is housed in a display case accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Each case comes in a coloured, illustrated box-shipper
