The tenth and final release in the popular Australian Map Shaped Coin Series features the dingo, a wild dog found in all parts of Australia.
The dingo is an Australian wild canine which is believed to have descended from semi-domesticated dogs in East or South Asia.
They are said to have arrived in Australia approximately 5,000 years ago.
The dingo is a medium sized dog ranging in colour from sandy yellow to red ginger.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 6,000 of the Australian Map Shaped Coin Series – Dingo 2016 1oz Silver Coin.
The coin’s coloured reverse depicts a dingo standing in front of a rock heap in the Australian desert.
The coin is housed in a grey presentation case and custom-designed shipper.
Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
