Description
The Australia Remembers series recognises those who made history beyond the battlefields. In 2011 it celebrates Australian war correspondents that have shaped our perception of conflicts since the Boer War.
C.E.W. Bean, chronicler of Gallipoli and founder of the Australian War Memorial; and Damien Parer, whose memorable images from the Kokoda track preceded his death in the line of duty; exemplify an honourable occupation distinguished by bravery and integrity.
The coin is presented in the same card format as the Australian Service Nurses and Lost Soldiers of Fromelles coins. There is a brief description of the work done by these brave Australians and the contribution they made to Australian war history on the card
