Description
When Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II officially opened Sydney Opera House on 20 October 1973, the public life of one of the most iconic buildings in the world began.
Inscribed in July 2007 on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a ‘masterpiece of human creative genius’, these coins recognise the Opera House as the one of the world’s busiest performing arts centres and cultural destinations.
The coin design features the well-known vaulted sails of the Opera House accentuating the architectural marvel of the building.
The uncirculated coin is presented in a blister and housed in a printed presentation card.
