2024 Australian Paralympic Team Selectively Gold Plated Five Dollar Silver Proof Coin

The Royal Australian Mint has released this stunning selectively gold plated five dollar silver proof coin in support of Australia's athletes who are participating in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will be held from 28th August to 8th September 2024.
Starting in 1948 as a competition for Second World War veterans, the Paralympic Games are now one of the largest international events in the world. Australia has participated in every summer Paralympic Games since the first official games in 1960.
The coin design features a long jump and track athlete highlighted in a selective gold plated finish. In the background are the track and the Eiffel Tower, representing the fact that some Parisian landmarks will in fact be used as the backdrop for particular events.
The limited mintage of 2,024 coins is produced and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
