The coin’s high relief reverse portrays a large coloured kangaroo lying on the ground, a restful position that helps it conserve energy during the hottest part of the day. A bounding Kangaroo and a grass tree appear in the background. As well as the inscription ‘KANGAROO’.

The coin is housed in a classic display case with a clear lid.
