Description
Cook's cottage was built in Yorkshire, England in 1755. The cottage was sold and relocated to Melbourne Australia in 1934.
The building was dismantled and each brick was numbered and then shipped out to Fitzroy Gardens, Melbourne.
Captain James Cook is considered one of the worlds most successful and inspiring explorers.
This year celebrates the 75th anniversary of Cook's Cottage relocation to Australia and the 1oz silver proof coins is released under the Government of the Cook Islands and has a limited mintage of only 5,000 coins.
The coin comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity and is presented in a timber case.
