Description
Even though it took place 40 years ago, the Moon landing of July 1969 remains the human races greatest technological achievement and the most eagerly-awaited design theme from the innovative Orbit and Beyond coin program.
The coin's reverse portrays Apollo 11 during different phases of its historic mission and an astronaut's footprint on the surface of the Moon. These elements, which appear on a coloured representation of the Universe, together with the border inscription 1969 - FIRST MAN ON THE MOON, literally orbit's around a coloured image of Earth.
The coin is housed in a display case and accompanied by a Numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
